Getting started with SENVault

A quick overview of what SENVault does and how to start using it for the first time.

Updated 10 February 20263 min readReviewed by SENVault Team

SENVault is designed to help SEND parents stay on top of a complex and often overwhelming process. This article explains what you will find in the app and how to get started.

What SENVault does

SENVault gives you one secure place to:

  • Store documents: upload letters, reports, assessments, and correspondence
  • Track your timeline: record key dates, meetings, and decisions in chronological order
  • Summarise documents with AI: get structured summaries of key documents to use in meetings or submissions
  • Build case packs: organise your evidence and case history ahead of meetings, reviews, or tribunals

It is not a legal advice service. It is a practical tool to help you hold everything together.

Uploading your first document

The best way to start is to upload one document. It does not have to be your most recent, any letter, report, or assessment is a good starting point.

Once it is uploaded, SENVault stores it securely and makes it available whenever you need it.

Tip

You do not need to have everything ready before you start. Upload what you have now. You can add more over time.

Recording your timeline

As you use SENVault, you can log the key events in your child's SEND journey, when you made a request, when you received a response, when a meeting took place.

This gives you a clear chronological record that is genuinely useful when preparing for reviews, appeals, or tribunal.

Getting document summaries

SENVault can generate structured summaries of documents you upload. These are particularly useful for long or technical reports, for example, an Educational Psychology assessment or an annual review.

Summaries are generated using AI. They are a starting point, not a substitute for reading the document yourself.

Your account and data

Your account is private. Your documents are not shared with anyone unless you choose to export or share them yourself. We recommend keeping your login details secure and logging out on shared devices.
