After reading this article you can
- Understand the advocate plan options
- Know which plan is right for your level of practice
- Upgrade or change your plan
Advocates have a separate plan structure from family accounts. Advocate plans are designed around the number of active family cases you manage and the features you need.

Advocate Standard plan: for advocates with an active caseload.
- Up to 15 active family connections

Choosing the right plan
If you are new to the platform or support families informally, the Free plan lets you get started without a commitment. Most active independent advocates will find Standard sufficient. Professional is most relevant to full-time practitioners or those building a practice around the platform.
Organisations have a separate plan structure, see the Organisations section for details.
Changing your plan
From your Advocate Settings > Plan, you can upgrade or change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. If you downgrade and have more active connections than the lower plan allows, you will need to close some connections before the downgrade takes effect.
Active family case management beyond 3 connections, enhanced directory placement, and contribution to the SEND guides library require the Standard or Professional advocate plan.
