Choosing a bundle template

- Understand what each template includes by default
Bundle templates give you a pre-structured starting point so you are not building from scratch each time. Each template is designed for a specific purpose and pre-populates the bundle with the document types and sections most relevant to that situation.
Available templates
Annual Review bundle: designed for an EHCP annual review meeting. Includes sections for the current EHCP, professional reports from the past 12 months, school evidence, and a parent views section. Ordered to present the case narrative clearly to attendees.
Tribunal bundle: designed for a First-tier Tribunal (SENDIST) appeal. Follows the standard tribunal bundle structure expected by the Tribunal Service and the LA's legal team. Includes working documents, professional evidence, correspondence, and the EHCP version history. Note: for a formal tribunal, you should work with a solicitor or advocate to finalise the bundle.
DLA application bundle: a supporting evidence bundle to accompany a DLA application. Includes sections for the medical summary, functional needs reports, school evidence, and a parent statement.
School transition bundle: designed to accompany a school transition (primary to secondary, or any placement change). Provides incoming schools with a structured introduction to your child's needs, evidence, and existing provisions.
New referral bundle: for sharing evidence with a new professional (a new school, a new therapist, a new LA officer). Provides essential background without overwhelming with everything in the Vault.
Blank bundle: no pre-structure. Build entirely from scratch with your own sections.
Choosing the right template
Select the template that matches your immediate purpose. Templates are a starting point, you can add, remove, or reorder sections after creation.
If you are unsure, the Annual Review bundle is the most versatile starting point for most situations. It can be adapted for any meeting where you need to present a structured case.
Creating a bundle from a template
Go to Evidence Bundles
From your child's profile, select Evidence Bundles and then Create bundle.
Select a template
Choose the template that fits your situation. A preview shows the default sections and document types included.
Name your bundle
Give the bundle a name that identifies the purpose and date, for example, "Annual Review, June 2026" or "Tribunal Bundle, October 2026".
Confirm and build
The bundle is created with its default structure. You can now add documents, reorder sections, and annotate.
