Editing analysis output
How to correct, supplement, and customise document summaries, key points, EHCP flags, and DLA extracts to ensure they accurately reflect your evidence.
After reading this article you can
- Edit a summary, key point, flag, or extract that is inaccurate
- Add a manual flag or extract not identified by SENVault
- Understand how edits are tracked
The analysis results are a starting point, not a final result. You can edit any field SENVault generates, and you can add your own flags and extracts that SENVault missed.
Editing the summary
Open the document detail page and select the edit icon next to the summary. Write your correction or addition and save. The summary will show a small "edited" indicator so you know it has been manually adjusted.
Use this when SENVault has mischaracterised the document, for example, summarising a referral as an assessment, or describing a recommendation as a confirmed provision.
Editing key points
Each key point (diagnoses, professional opinions, support recommendations, behavioural observations, functional difficulties) can be individually edited or deleted. You can also add new key points that SENVault missed.
Open the document, go to Key Points, and select the edit icon next to the relevant category.
Editing EHCP flags
From the EHCP Flags view, you can:
- Change the section: if SENVault assigned a flag to Section B but it belongs in Section F
- Edit the extracted text: if the extraction cut off a sentence or missed the context
- Add notes: your own commentary on why this flag matters
- Dismiss: hide the flag from the active view (does not delete it)
- Add a manual flag: select "Add flag" and write the text and section yourself
Editing DLA extracts
From the DLA Helper or the DLA Extracts tab on a document, you can:
- Edit the extracted sentence: correct truncation or context errors
- Change the category: move from care to supervision or mobility if misassigned
- Add notes: explain the relevance to a specific DLA question
- Dismiss: hide from the active view
- Add a manual extract: add a sentence SENVault missed
When to add manual entries
Add manually when:
- A key sentence was split across two paragraphs and SENVault only captured half
- The document uses unusual terminology SENVault did not recognise as clinically significant
- You want to add a flag from a document you have not uploaded (e.g. a letter from a professional you have only paraphrased in a note)
Manual entries are visually distinguishable from extracted ones in the interface.
Note
Editing analysis results does not use an analysis credit. You can edit as many times as you like without any limit.
