Creating your account
How to sign up for SEN Evidence Vault, choose the right account type, and get set up in under five minutes.
After reading this article you can
- Create a SEN Evidence Vault account
- Understand the difference between a family and advocate account
- Know how to verify your email and access your dashboard
Creating an account takes about two minutes. You need only an email address to get started, no credit card required.
Step 1: Go to the sign-up page
Navigate to app.senvault.co.uk and select Sign up. You will be asked for:
- Your email address
- A password (at least 8 characters)
- Your account type (see below)
Choosing your account type
Family account
Choose this if you are a parent or carer managing your child's SEND case. Family accounts give you access to the Vault, evidence upload, document analysis, timelines, DLA Helper, and bundle creation.
Advocate account
Choose this if you are a professional or volunteer advocate who supports SEND families. Advocate accounts include a public directory profile, case management tools, and the ability to receive vault access from families you support. Advocate accounts can be upgraded to a paid solo or team plan.
Note
You cannot change your account type after sign-up. If you choose the wrong type, contact support to have your account corrected.
Step 2: Verify your email
After registering, check your inbox for a verification email from SEN Evidence Vault. Click the link in the email to confirm your address. You cannot access the full app until your email is verified.
If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. You can also request a new verification email from the sign-in page.
Step 3: Sign in and reach your dashboard
Once verified, sign in with your email and password. Family users land on the main dashboard. Advocate users land on the Advocate Hub.

What happens if you sign in with a social provider?
SEN Evidence Vault supports passwordless login options (such as magic links). If you sign in this way, a verification step is built into the login flow automatically.

Add your first child profile
From the dashboard, select Add child. You will be asked for your child's name, date of birth, diagnosis status, and education setting.
